Technology Commercialization Model
Ecosil’s technical innovation process uses a highly collaborative model with partnerships between the company, manufacturers, distribution partners, government funders, corporations, and academic research institutions. We also follow a disciplined process that matches the cost and effort to the development stage. The funding and risk are also managed to retain equity value for the company while limiting the amount of internal investment by actively engaging with government funding at the proof of principal stage of development. This model provides a high level of agility while simultaneously allowing a high degree of focus in our core area of surface modification to improve corrosion and oxidation resistance of metals. The model is illustrated graphically above. The results of the transition from a developmental company to sustainable commercial sales is shown in the following graph.
Commercialization Partners
Ecosil is able to focus exclusively on developing innovative surface treatment technologies because we have long term partnerships in opportunity identification, product manufacturing, sales and marketing, and raw material innovation (silanes). We have worked with our commercialization partners over many years and have built strong trusting relationships with them.
